Visiting
Does it cost anything to come in?
No. The Commons is free to visit.
Who is the playscape for?
Kids 12 and under.
When are you open?
Hours change for holidays and events, so the homepage always shows this week's hours. Call the front desk at (812) 432-1981 if you're not sure.
Is there WiFi?
Yes. Free WiFi is available throughout The Commons.
What is at the café?
Revival, our in-house coffee shop, serves hot and cold drinks, snacks, and desserts.
Where do I park?
Park in the lot and walk in. Cars can't pull up to the doors.
Are events open to everyone?
Yes. Every Commons event is open to the public.
Who runs The Commons?
The Commons is a ministry of The Hills Church, open to everyone in Evansville.
Can I make a donation?
Yes. Donation kiosks are at the main entrance, or you can give online.
Parties and bookings
How far ahead can I book?
Up to 90 days ahead, and at least 4 days before your party.
Can I book more than one time slot in a day?
No. To give more families a chance, each party gets one time slot per day.
How much does a party cost?
A $50 deposit holds your date. It is refunded after your party when you attend as scheduled.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Cancel or reschedule online up to 2 days before your party. Cancel in time and your $50 deposit comes back to you. You can reschedule a party up to twice.
How long is a party?
Birthday parties are 2 hours. Showers, graduations, and other special events are 3 hours.
What tables and chairs do I get?
Birthday parties get four 8-foot tables and 21 chairs. Special events get two 8-foot tables, five 6-foot round tables, and 35 chairs.
Will I have a private room?
Birthday parties have their own reserved space in our lobby. Showers, graduations, and other special events are held in a private room.
When can I arrive to set up?
Up to 30 minutes before your party starts.
Do I need to clean up?
No. Our staff handles setup and teardown.
Do I check in when I arrive?
Yes. Check in at the front desk and a staff member will show you to your space.
Can I bring food, drinks, and a cake with candles?
Yes. Bring your own food and drinks, and birthday candles on the cake are fine.
Can I bring crockpots or food warmers?
Yes. Your area has outlets for keeping food warm.
Is there a kitchen or a place to store food?
No. There is no kitchen for parties, and the café can't store food.
Are there rules for decorations?
Table decorations are welcome. No tape on the walls, and no glitter or confetti.
Can we change the TVs or music?
No. The TV and music settings can't be changed.
Can I bring inflatables, entertainment, animals, or roller skates?
No. Outside entertainment, inflatables, animals, and roller skates aren't allowed.
Is there help carrying supplies in?
Yes. Ask the front desk for a wagon.
Meetings
Can I use a room for a meeting?
Yes. Our Elementary room is 40' by 40' and available for meetings. Send us a message to ask about times.
